What happened to the other posts?

Here I was, being all responsible and work ethicy; blogging about Bella; relaying embarrassing facts about myself and the last two posts have up an disappeared.  Must be the Universe telling me to keep those things to myself eh?
So let's just skip ahead a little.  Well I do have to at least mention the K9 Nose Work Seminar last week.  Bella did so well.  Not compared to the other dogs, but considering what I expected, and considering her limited education, she was amazing.
She was by far the head of the class for funny dog.  When she saw all those people lined up watching her, she ran the line, practically high fiving everyone there.  First in one direction and then the other.  When no one would interact with her, she went back to work, but I got a big laugh out of watching her wiggly giggly butt as she introduced herself to one and all!

The night before class

So Bella and I are off to Greenville for a K9 Nose Work class tomorrow!  She's bathed and groomed and has had a few opportunities to practice self control over the past couple of weeks...not enough mind you, but better than nothing, right?

I had almost decided to take a different dog, one who had better manners and who would be a better reflection on my work, so as not to embarrass myself in front of other trainers.  But how fair would that be to Bella and what a great learning opportunity for us both.  So I'm suckin it up and baring it all.  That Bella girl deserves to have some time in class so we've set our attitude to thankful and will let you know how it goes in a couple of days.  Blessings on us all eh?

Work = Fun

Bella is really enjoying our special "working time" together.  We found out yesterday that the K9 Nose Work Seminar in a couple of weeks will be on leash, so we did our first on leash search of boxes and Bella wasn't quite sure what to do at first.  Didn't take the little girl long to get in the groove though and soon she was zipping right along.  She's such a good girl!

Time to get to work

Here's the least trained dog in Atlanta.  OK, so maybe the least trained dog owned by a "Dog Trainer" in Atlanta.  Bella has had so little education that it's shameful.  If I were willing to feel shame, she would be the perfect reason to do so.

But, since I'm too lazy to be shamed, I've decided to get my butt in gear and start spending some time edumacatin my girl.  Bella has the most wonderful sense of humor and such zest for life that she never fails to delight on a daily basis.  And it's about time I returned the favor eh?

I'll keep you posted as to how her lessons are going.  Since it's such a beautiful day out, today will be leash work I think.
